  This place is amazing any time of year!! The staff were always friendly, no matter where or who you saw. Snowshoeing arond the lake was fabulous. The place was probably more quiet than usual since we stayed on a Sunday night, but they handled our stay exceptionally, we will definitely go back. Our room had a decent Lakeview and was clean. The food in the dining room was amazing and a highlight of our trip!! Some reviews said small portions, but I would disagree. My only small small complaint is that the firewood was either a little damp or not chopped small enough.

  We love Emerald Lake Lodge. This is rustic-coziness at it's best. This is great value, at $200 a night on a weekend in winter. The snow on the cabins made it so romantic, as was the in-room real wood fireplace. We had a great stay, even though it was -20 out!

  Beautiful surroundings and lovely cabins. It's a great place to go when you need to fully disconnect. Take a walk around the lake while the busloads of tourists are present for a more relaxing time. Food was excellent and the fireplaces were a cozy treat. The sole fault we found was that except for when checking out, the front desk staff seemed pretty unhappy, but maybe we just caught them at a bad time.

  Emerald Lake lodge is situated on a beautiful lake in BC.. The views are spectacular and the location is great. unfortunately, that is about all ELL has going for it. The lodges are in need of some updates. the room keys are worn and often get stuck in the doors. The finishing and furniture in the rooms are all damaged and worn out. the fireplace is a nice touch and was set every night for our return. The fireplace was initially a cool feature of the lodge but it became apparent that it was more than just that. Our lodge had visible holes between the patio door were cold air would come in. You could feel wind coming into the room constantly, my wife and I found ourselves freezing usually around 3AM once the fire had gone out. The thermostat in our room did not seem to make much a difference. Some members of the staff at Emerald lake are very personable and understandable but a large majority of them lack customer service experience . We also found that many of the serving staff was there to spend time with their co-workers rather than serving the guests. Long wait times and incorrect orders. The breakfast was a bit pricey but we did have a good experience with our server and the view was gorgeous.

  Fantastic spot for winter scenery and activities. The cabins are cozy with fireplaces and give a real chance to unplug from busy lives. Knowledgeable and helpful staff that know the area, conditions and gear.
